Experienced leadership

Students first. Proven service.

I know this district because I have been showing up for it for more than 15 years—as a parent, volunteer, and community advocate, and now as the current President of the LUHSD Board of Education. As the mother of five LUHSD graduates, my commitment to our schools is deeply personal and rooted in years of firsthand experience.

For the past three and a half years, I have been doing this work every day—building institutional knowledge, strengthening working relationships, and staying present across our school communities. I am seeking re-election because there is still important work to be done, and I am prepared to keep serving with focus, accountability, and a steady commitment to students, families, staff, and taxpayers.

Three key objectives

Cultivating Excellence

01

Fiscal Responsibility

Fiscal responsibility means protecting classrooms while planning for uncertainty. I supported balanced, positive-certified budgets that keep our district stable, maintain a responsible 5.00% reserve for Economic Uncertainty—$6,763,532—and direct dollars into programs that improve student achievement.

02

Campus Safety

One throughline guides this work: safe, focused, connected students are more confident—and better able to learn. Our work on campus security, a phone-free school day, responsible AI use, and cybersecurity all protects essential learning and prepares students for a fast-changing world.

03

Academic Excellence

I believe students deserve multiple pathways to success. My involvement in career education began before I joined the board through service on Liberty Union Career Technical Education Committee. As a trustee, I continued supporting opportunities that prepare students for college, skilled careers and the workforce.
